ITS Norway is a national association for members within the ITS sector. Their mission is to share new technology, connect members and work towards smarter, safer and sustainable transportation. We were given the brief to make a new visual identity, website and brand material to help give ITS the perfect balance between formal, modern contemporary, playful and Scandinavian minimalism.
We wanted to combine new technology, multimodal transport, people and the transport in one place which added illustration to the brief. We started with the lines which symbolizes transportation routes and public transport maps. We added new tech like autonomous vehicles, Hyperloop, micromobility and drones to get a wide spectrum. To add humanity I used plain or modified people from the illustration library Humaaans.
We made a library of 72 custom icons to be able to supply information and categorize the information. And i believe this is only a start. I believe manned drones and autonomous e-scooters will be next.
